Brandon Hall School is a private school located in the Dunwoody neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The school serves students in grades four through twelve, as well as post-high school. It was founded in 1959.
The school offers small classes and one-on-one instruction for students who have not been achieving in other educational settings, including underachievers. The school offers services to students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, ADHD, Asperger syndrome, and visual impairments.[1] The average student to teacher ratio is 4:1. A college preparatory curriculum is offered at the high school level and English as a Second Language instruction is available.
Both boys and girls are enrolled as day students, and boarding is offered for boys in grades six through twelve and postgraduate.
The current president of BHS is Dr. John Singleton.[2] The school's motto is "Focus on the individual."
Brandon Hall School received U.S. Department of Education recognition as a Blue Ribbon School for the 1984-1985 school year.[3]
Brandon Hall School Currently offers separate girls boarding. This began in the 2010-2011 school year.
